Lakehead University

Honours Bachelor of Outdoor Recreation

Graduates of Fleming's Park Operations and Outdoor Recreation Technician program (formerly Parks and Forest Recreation) with a 75% average may apply for admission to the Honours Bachelor of Outdoor Recreation degree program. Lakehead University will grant a potential 5.5 full credit equivalents towards the completion of this degree program. For additional information see Articulation Agrement. 

Honours Bachelor of Commerce   -   Bachelor of Administration

Graduates of the following programs can apply for admission to the Bachelor of Administration degree program or the Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree program.

• Business Administration
• Business Administration - Accounting
• Business Administration - Human Resources Management
• Business Administration - Marketing
• Business Administration - Materials Management and Distribution
• International Trade

 Graduates who have achieved a cumulative average of B in Business subjects will be considered for admission to the third year of the Bachelor of Administration. A minimum B+ cumulative average in Business courses will be required for the Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree program. Students must complete the final year of the Bachelor of Administration degree program or the final two years of the Honours Bachelor of Commerce program plus any other courses deemed missing following admission assessment.

Honours Bachelor of Social Work

Graduates of the Social Service Worker program with, minimally, an overall B average, may be eligible for advanced standing towards the first year of the Honours Bachelor of Social Work degree program.

Honours Bachelor of Science - Forestry (and various Environmental Studies degrees)

Graduates of the Forestry Technician diploma with a minimum B average are eligible for admission consideration into the second year of the Honours Bachelor of Science in Forestry program, the second year of the three-year Bachelor of Environmental Studies (Forest Conservation), or the four-year Honours Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies (Forest Conservation) degree programs. Applicants from other environmental or science programs are encouraged to apply to this unique Environmental Studies Degree program.

Bachelor of Science - Nursing

Graduates who have completed the three-year Nursing diploma are eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) program. You can study part-time or full-time.

Bachelor of Engineering (Software) Transfer

Graduates of Fleming’s Computer Engineering Technology diploma with an average of at least 70% (GPA 3.0, B grade) in the final year of their program may apply for advance standing to the third year of this four-year degree program. Students will be required to complete a series of transition courses at Lakehead University during the months of July and August in the year of entry.
