Computer Programmer Analyst, Electronics Engineering Technologist - General (Embedded Mobile) and Networking
- Analyse, design, develop, enhance, and maintain IT systems, software solutions, voice network, data network, and Internet/Intranet systems.
- Produce project documentation, present information, and use business software applications to support the activities of an organisation.
- Determine user requirements; define system specifications; design and implement application/network software/services, networks, and databases; train others; integrate applications with computer systems, and interconnect systems.
This includes Java, TCP/IP, C++, Cobol, Visual Basic, Linux, Novell NetWare, Windows NT, SQL Programming, QBE, DOS, Windows 95, and HTML web page authoring for systems analysis, database design, software development/testing/documentation, systems support, network administration/installation, quality/security assurance and help desk operations.
Automation Engineering Technologist (Robotics)
- Design, analyse, modify, troubleshoot, commission, install, and repair circuits/systems/equipment for power distribution, industrial telecommunications, electrical maintenance, control systems, robotics, manufacturing systems, communication systems, microprocessor-based systems, and computer systems.
- Participate in quality control and assurance programs, produce and present documentation, and manage engineering systems.
- Analyse, design, model, and prototype electrical/electronic/electromechanical/fluid/thermal systems using mathematical relationships and transformations, statistical inference, spreadsheets, and simulation software, including implementation of related new technology..
This includes AutoCAD, Electronics Workbench, programming and interfacing, 8086/Atmel assembly and interfacing, Allen Bradley PLCs, Canadian Electrical Code, Fire Code, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Design of Experiments (Taguchi/American Methodology). Also includes robot tooling and programming for CRS, Seiko, Adept, IBM, GMF; and AC/DC large/fractional HP motors/generators and controls.
