Please note: Basic machine and hand sewing skills are necessary for participation in this course. Previous quilting experience is not required.
This course will sharpen and challenge your perceptions, encourage your sense of play, and liberate you from the urge to create symmetry in all you see! Explore the interplay of colours and the arrangement of shapes and patterns. Instruction will present opportunities for experimentation; to take chances, to engage in the juxtaposition of old and new, planned and spontaneous, colour and form. Quilting, a treatment that alters the surface of the cloth, adds shadow and shape. This in turn reflects light and movement, alternating tension with relaxation.
