The digital world is upon us and while film still exists, it is fast becoming a thing of the past. With the advent of digital photography, a new type of photographer is now upon us - shoot thousands of images then try to process and make sense of what you shot. Success in photography still requires a sound knowledge of how the camera works the rules of composition, the correct use of light. These are the essential elements in the creation of a good photograph. In this course you will learn how to do it right the first time using your digital camera and all the tools it provides you. While Photoshop is the main stay of digital photography, you will learn to use your camera more effectively so the time spent later in Photoshop is minimized. Digital workflow is essential to create consistent results with your digital imagery. Working with your camera controls, learn how each function can affect the final outcome of your work. Discover how to shoot more effectively with the digital camera, making use of the histogram and white balance. You will also learn about the different image files that are available to the photographer - from RAW, JPEG or TIF, and the characteristics of each.
