(Lifesaving Society of Canada Standard First Aid and Basic Rescuer CPR is WSIB recognized) EMR includes the Lifesaving Society Standard First Aid certification and Basic Rescuer (Level C - HCP) certifications. This is First Aid and CPR training for use in minor or major emergency situations. It trains the First Aider in skills and procedures that can be applied (with or without special equipment) until advanced medial help arrives. The focus is to preserve life, minimize further injuries and promote recovery. This course includes AED (Automatic External Defibrillation) and AMT (Airway Management Training). (This is not a certification but a training and overview with the equipment. (*21 hrs)
