BioArt (Biological Illustration)

Course Number: GNED047

The primary objective of this biological illustration course is to examine and create art as a medium for the expression of natural forms. Through the examination of our peers' art portfolios, the history of art and various media used to express nature in art, the student will produce, develop an aesthetic appreciation for, and subsequently critique various art forms. A variety of traditional and innovative techniques will be explored through internet searches, field trips and discussions. This course focuses on drawing to learn, not learning to draw.
