Faculty member wins Excellence in Education award
Chris Magwood, Coordinator of Fleming College’s Sustainable Building Design and Construction program, is the recipient of a 2008 Excellence in Education Award from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC).
Enrolment up at Haliburton Campus
First year enrolment at Fleming College’s Haliburton Campus has risen nine per cent over last year contributing to an overall increase in the number of students college-wide.

New CAWT water treatment site opens
The Haliburton Fish Hatchery will officially open its new wastewater treatment site – a constructed wetland that naturally rehabilitates aquaculture effluent – with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, October 22 at 12:15 p.m. at the Haliburton Fish Hatchery, 66712 Gelert Rd. (County Rd. 1) in Haliburton County.
