Anne Barber was born and trained in theatre in the UK and spent ten years with Horse and Bamboo, the UK¿s only horse-drawn theatre. She performed with Bread and Puppet Theatre (US) and joined the Toronto Island based Shadowland Theatre in 1992 where she is co-Artistic Director with Brad Harley. Anne directs the company¿s productions and founded their youth theatre program. She is one of the team that garnered Shadowland three Dora Mavor Moore awards for Costume Design. Anne creates original theatre with a multi-disciplinary approach and a philosophy of full accessibility to the arts.
