The knowledge and skill sets I acquired in the Emergency Management program equipped me to assume program development and delivery responsibilities almost immediately upon my employment. My mounting involvement and leadership in the Business Continuity Program, at the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, testifies to a solid grounding in Continuity of Operations theory and professional practice that was initiated through the program at Fleming College. In addition, the Emergency Management program prepared me for exercise design, controllership and evaluation duties, and bolstered my client and issues management skills.
