Bursaries and Scholarships

Awarded to a student in the second year of any program at the Peterborough Campus who is a graduate of a Peterborough high school and is active in their community.

Awarded to a single mother in financial need.

Awarded to a full-time student at both the Frost and Sutherland Campuses in the second or third year of a two or three year program, who maintains a high grade average and is active in their community.

Awarded to a full time student in any year of any program. Preference will be given to a single custodial parent.

Awarded to a full-time student entering any Law & Justice program who is a single parent that possesses courage and determination and is involved in their community.

Awarded to a full-time student in the second or third year of any two or three year program at any campus who has demonstrated leadership within the College or their community and has maintained a high academic performance.

Awarded to a student returning for their final year of their program or a Fleming Grad entering a post-graduate program, demonstration of leadership and high academic success required.

Awarded to a student registered in any full time program in any year. Preference will be given to children or grandchildren of former employees of Fleming College but everyone is welcome to apply.

Several bursaries are awarded to full-time students in financial need, in any program at any campus in their second or third year of a two or three year program who achieve minimum academic status and are active in their community.

Awarded to full-time students entering a one-year post secondary certificate program at the Frost or Sutherland campuses who are active in their community. Applications are due January 21, 2008.

Awarded to full-time students enrolled in specified programs through Fleming Training Services (See application for program list).

A bursary is awarded to a full-time student in any program at any campus in their second or third year of a two or three year program who was not an Ontario resident when they commenced their studies. The student must achieve academic status and are active in their community.

Awarded to full-time students entering a one-year post diploma program at the Frost or Sutherland campuses who are active in their community.

Awarded to a full-time student in any program at any campus who is physically or mentally challenged and who balances academic studies, community involvement and personal responsibilities.

Awarded to a student in any program at the Cobourg Campus who has achieved an average of 80% or above (GPA of 3.6 or higher) in his/her first semester at the Cobourg Campus.

Awarded to a full-time student in any year of any program that is a single parent. The eligible student must demonstrate financial need.

Awarded to a full-time international student in any program at the College with an 80% or higher average in the Fall Semester.

Awarded to full-time students in financial need, enrolled in any year at any campus who achieves a minimum academic status, while demonstrating dedication and commitment to hard work.

Awarded to a student with a parent who graduated from Fleming College. Preference may be given to students in the Technology or Skilled Trades programs.

Awarded to a full-time student who is entering any program at any campus who is a 2007 graduate of Lindsay Collegiate and Vocational Institute (LCVI) with a high academic standing in their final year at LCVI.

Awarded to a full-time student in 2nd or 3rd year or any program at the Peterborough Campus who is a graduate of a Peterborough high school and is active in their community.

Several bursaries are available for full-time students in any program at any campus who are self-identified Metis.

Awarded to a student who has completed academic upgrading and is entering their first semester of any program at any Campus who is active in their community.

Awarded to a new Canadian student who has been in Canada for no more than five years and who has landed immigrant or permanent resident status, and is registered full-time in any program at the College.

Awarded to a fulltime student in any year of any program at the Peterborough Campus, who demonstrates commitment to varsity or intramural sports.

Several bursaries are available to students in any program at any campus who have special needs. Preference will be given to students from the Peterborough area, however applicants from outside of Peterborough may also be considered.

Awarded to a full-time student in any program of MBS who is over the age of 25 and is active in their community and student affairs ad has a strong work ethic.

Awarded to a students in any culinary program, who have goals of opening a restaurant or catering business and who supports college activities.

Awarded to a full-time student in their second or third year of any Business or Business Administration program who maintains a high grade average and is active in their community.

Awarded to a full-time student in any program of MBS who demonstrates strong community involvement.

Awarded to a second or third year student in International Trade or a second year student of the Customs Administration program, who demonstrates financial need.

Several bursaries are awarded to full-time students entering the Culinary Management program.

Several bursaries are awarded to full-time students in the Culinary Management program who have participated in extracurricular - program related activities and have maintained a 70 % average.

Awarded to a full time returning student in the School of Business who has maintained a high academic average in their first or second year, and has demonstrated initiative, community and voluntary involvement and good citizenship.

Awarded to a one male and one female student in any full time program in either the School of Community Development or the School of Health and Wellness, and to one male and one female student in the School of Business, who are active in their school, sports and their community.

Awarded to a full-time Ontario student in any program of the School of Business who demonstrates need and involvement in community or college life. Preference will be given to students enrolled in the Accounting program.

Awarded to a full time student entering the Culinary Program.  The applicant must be from one of the following School Boards: Kawartha Pineridge District School Board, Trillium Lakelands District School Board or the Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board.

Available for full-time returning Ontario students in the School of Business who demonstrate financial need. See application for additional criteria.

Awarded to a 2nd year student in Sporting Goods Business Program who demonstrates college/community involvement.

Awarded to a student in one of (listed in order of preference) Computer Engineering Technology, Business Administration or Home & Building Automation Technician.

Awarded to a student in financial need enrolled in their first year of a  Technology or Skilled Trades Program.  The applicant must be a graduate from a high school in the Peterborough County.

Available to any any full-time student registered in the Materials Management & Distribution program, who is a student in good standing with passing grades.

Awarded to a full-time student in the fifth semester of the International Trade program who demonstrates a commitment to exporting and international trade, has a high academic performance in their first four semesters and is active in their community.

Available to full-time students after completion of at least one semester in a hospitality-related program in Mangement and Business Studies.

Awarded to a 2nd or 3rd year student in the Materials Management &  Distribution Program who achieves high academic standing.

Several bursaries are awarded to full-time students in the second or third year of the Culinary, Travel or Hotel & Resort programs who have participated in extracurricular - program related activities and have achieved a minimum 70% average in the previous year.

Two scholarships available for 2nd and 3rd year students in the Materials Management and Distribution program who have achieved a high academic standing.

Available to a second year full time student in the Sporting Goods Business program with high academic standard and demonstrated commitment to athletics, community and sporting goods industry.

Awarded to a student in their final year of a full-time program in the School of Community Development who maintains a high grade average in the previous years and is active in their community.

Awarded to a one male and one female student in any full time program in either the School of Community Development or the School of Health and Wellness, and to one male and one female student in the School of Business, who are active in their school, sports and their community.

Awarded to 8 full time students, four to 1st year, two to 2nd year and two to 3rd year who are involved in their community. Students in Automation, Computer Engineering Technology (Sixth Semester Applied Projects), Health Information Management, Nursing B.Sc.N., Personal Support Worker, Practical Nursing, Recreation and Leisure Services and Social Service Worker may apply.

Awarded to a full time returning student, in either the Collections Conservation Program or Museum Management Program, in financial need who has demonstrated community involvement and volunteerism. Preference will be given to those who have volunteered in the library.

Awarded to a student in any year of a program form the School of Environmental & Natural Resource Sciences.

Awarded to a full-time student in the second year of any program at the Frost Campus which focuses on environmental and land use studies who shows concern for the environment and is active in their community.

Awarded to two full time students who are residents of the County of Haliburton and are enrolled in one of the following courses Geological Technician, Heavy Equipment Operator, Motive Power Techniques - Heavy Equipment, Geomatics Technician, Environment Technician, Resource Drilling and Blasting Technician. Student must demonstrate financial need. Minimum academic status required.

Awarded to a student in Earth Resources Technician program who demonstrates financial need.

Awarded to a full-time student in the third year Ecosystem Management Technology program who has maintained a high grade average and is active in their community.

Awarded to a full-time student entering the second year of any program at the Frost campus that focuses on the conservation of our forests and wildlife who demonstrates the protection and enhancement of natural resources.

Awarded to a second year student registered in the Forestry program who demonstrates financial need, initiative and community involvement.

Awarded to a full-time student entering their first year or to a student registered in Environmental and Natural Resource Sciences who demonstrates a financial need.

Awarded to a full-time Ontario student enrolled in the Motive Power Technique program.

Available to a full-time second year student in the Fish & Wildlife program. Student must demonstrate active involvement in both hunting and fishing.

Two scholarships are awarded to full-time students who have graduated from second year and are continuing in a third year program focusing on environmental management at the Frost Campus who demonstrates a balanced approach to responsible wildlife management including hunting and fishing.

Awarded to a full-time student entering any program at the Frost Campus who is active in their community and is consistent or has a progressive academic performance. Preference will be given to graduating students from Lindsay Collegiate and Vocational Institute, I. E Weldon Secondary School or St. Thomas Aquinas Secondary School in Lindsay, however students from other areas are also eligible to apply.

Awarded to a full-time Ontario student enrolled in the Motive Power Technique program

Awarded to a full-time student who is a single mother in any year of a Law & Justice or Health & Wellness program.

Awarded to a full-time female student in the third year of the Trent-Fleming BScN program who has a love of nursing and has had to overcome challenges.

Available to a part-time student in either the Social Service Worker, Drug and Alcohol Counsellor, Early Childhood Education, Educational Assistant, or Recreation and Leisure Service program. Student must be enrolled or entering into their field placement. Preference will be give to single parents and to students who intend to or have applied for university transfer.

Awarded to a full-time student registered in the 26 week Personal Support Worker Program at the Peterborough campus. Preference will be given to students active in the community and college.

Awarded to a one male and one female student in any full time program in either the School of Community Development or the School of Health and Wellness, and to one male and one female student in the School of Business, who are active in their school, sports and their community.

Awarded to 8 full time students, four to 1st year, two to 2nd year and two to 3rd year who are involved in their community.
