Law and Justice Academic Awards

The following academic and community awards for full-time students recognize achievement. Recipients are selected for the Centre for Law and Justice awards -- students do not apply for these prizes.

 

  • Law and Justice Faculty Award

    Presented to a graduate in Law and Justice for academic achievement and significant contribution to the College Community.

 

  • Andy McIntosh Memorial Award

    Presented to a graduate for academic performance and dedication to the Correctional Worker Program.

 

  • Andy McIntosh Memorial Award

    Presented to a graduate demonstrating personal development and academic achievement in the Correctional Worker Program.

 

  • Carswell Prize

    Presented for academic achievement on completion of the first year of the Law Clerk Program.

 

  • Correctional Worker Advisory Committee Award

    Presented to the most outstanding student of the graduating class of the Correctional Worker Program in recognition of special achievements in academic standing, class contribution and program involvement.

 

  • Doyle Coordinator Award

    Presented to the first year student nominated by faculty and students for making a meaningful contribution to fellow classmates and the overall welfare of the program, while demonstrating exemplary conduct, excelling academically, and showing great potential for the field of Corrections.

 

  • Jack O'Hara Award

    Presented to the most deserving student in the Fire, Safety & Security Management Program.

 

  • Kennedy House Youth Services Award #1

    Presented to a graduate of the Correctional Worker Program in recognition of academic performance, field practicuum performance and contribution to the program and/or College.

 

  • Kennedy House Youth Services Award #2

    Presented to a graduate of the Correctional Worker Program in recognition of academic performance, field practicuum performance and contribution to the program and/or College.

 

  • Lillico, Bazuk, Kent & Galloway Award

    Presented for high academic achievement in the Law Clerk Program.

 

  • Livingston International Award

    Presented to an outstanding graduate of the Customs Administration Program.

 

  • Nortel Networks - Norman W. Luker Memorial Award

    Presented to the Fire, Safety and Security Management student with the highest academic standing.

 

  • Peterborough Law Association

    Presented for excellence in the Law Clerk Program.

 

  • Phyllis McNeil Fraser Scholarship Award

    Presented to the outstanding graduate of the Police Foundations Program.

 

  • Peterborough Memorial Centre Award #1

    presented to the most promising student in second semester of the Fire, Safety and Security Management Program for community involvement, leadership and academic standing.

 

  • Peterborough Memorial Centre Award #2

    Presented to the most deserving graduate of the Fire, Safety & Security Management Program for active involvement in the community, demonstrated leadership skills and academic standing.

 

  • Peterborough Memorial Centre Award #3

    Presented to a student in the Fire, Safety and Security Management Program demonstrating personal development, community involvement, academic achievement and improved confidence.

 

  • Peterborough Memorial Centre Award #4

    Presented to a student in the Fire, Safety and Security Management Program demonstrating leadership while actively involved in the community.

 

  • Peterborough-Lakefield Police Services Board Award

    Presented to a student in second semester who has maintained good academic standing, active involvement in the community, and is pursuing higher education.

 

  • Peterborough-Lakefield Community Police Chiefs' Award

    Presented to a graduating student who has maintained good academic standing as well as outstanding efforts for the betterment of the community.

 

  • OPSEU Local 352 Faculty Union 9/11 Award (Police Foundations)

    (In memory of all those who lost their lives due to the tragic events of September 11, 2001 and in recognition of the dedicated people who choose to work in our Emergency Response Services).

    Presented to a second year police foundations student maintaining a positive attitude towards a career in policing.

 

  • OPSEU Local 352 Faculty Union 9/11 Award

    (In memory of all those who lost their lives due to the tragic events of September 11, 2001 and in recognition of the dedicated people who choose to work in our Emergency Response Services)

    Presented to a student in the Fire, Safety and Security Management Program who has demonstrated involvement and support to an emergency service.

 

  • OPSEU Local 352 Faculty Union 9/11 Award (Firefighter)

    (In memory of all those who lost their lives due to the tragic events of September 11, 2001 and in recognition of the dedicated people who choose to work in our Emergency Response Services)

    Presented to a first semester pre-service fire fighter student maintaining a positive attitude towards a career in fire fighting.

 

  • Expeditors Canada Inc. Award

    Presented to the most promising Custom Administration graduate entering the service provider sector.
