Community Development and Health Awards

The following academic and community awards for full-time students recognize achievement. Recipients are selected for these awards -- students do not apply for these prizes.

 

  • Centre for Community Development and Health Outstanding Achievement Award

    Presented to a graduate for academic achievement and significant contribution to the College Community.

 

  • City of Peterborough Recreation Award

    Presented to the outstanding graduate in the Recreation and Leisure Services Program.

 

  • Keith Tufo Memorial Award

    Presented to a first year student in the Recreation and Leisure Services Program who has enhanced the quality of his/her program and has demonstrated the characteristics of compassion, reliability, and quiet leadership (as so often shown to us through Keith).

 

  • Felix Walker Memorial Award

    Presented to a student of the Recreation and Leisure Services Program who has demonstrated leadership skills, team-building ability and development of personal growth.

 

  • Recreation and Leisure Services Faculty Award

    Presented to a first year student in the Recreation and Leisure Services Program who has demonstrated commitment and motivation as exemplified by academic performance and community service.

 

  • Recreation and Leisure Services Faculty Award

    Presented to a Recreation and Leisure Services student who has demonstrated significant professional and personal growth and development.

 

  • Recreation and Leisure Services Faculty Award

    Presented to a Recreation and Leisure Services graduate who has demonstrated significant academic and personal growth.

 

  • Collections Conservation and Management Faculty Award

    Presented to a graduate for outstanding achievement in Field Placement.

 

  • Collections Conservation and Management Faculty Award

    Presented to a graduate for highest academic achievement and significant contribution to the Collections Conservation and Management Program.

 

  • Culture and Heritage Board Award

    Presented to a graduating student in recognition of his/her contribution to the Peterborough Centennial Museum & Archives through completion of projects which complement and enhance the museum's mandate; evidence of teamwork and leadership in Field Placement.

 

  • Museum Management and Curatorship Program Faculty Award

    Presented to a student who has maintained a high academic standard throughout the program and demonstrated a strong contribution to the museum/gallery community.

 

  • Career and Work Counsellor Faculty Award

    Presented to a first year Career and Work Counsellor Program student who has been recognized by faculty as demonstrating personal growth, as well as, strong commitment to his/her field of study.

 

  • Career and Work Counsellor Faculty Award

    Presented to a second year Career and Work Counsellor Program student who has been recognized by faculty as demonstrating personal growth, as well as, strong commitment to his/her field of study.

 

  • Cosgrave Award

    Presented to a first year student of the Career and Work Counsellor Program in recognition of the student's academic success and potential in an employment, career or work counselling profession.

 

  • Cosgrave Award

    Presented to a second year student of the Career and Work Counsellor Program in recognition of the student's academic success and potential in an employment, career or work counselling profession.

 

  • Drug and Alcohol Counsellor Program Award

    Presented to the outstanding graduate of the Drug and Alcohol Counsellor Program.

 

  • Fairview United Church Award

    Presented to the graduate who has demonstrated overall excellence and professionalism in the Drug and Alcohol counselling field.

 

  • Major Bennett Chapter I.O.D.E. Award

    Presented to the outstanding graduate of the Social Service Worker Program.

 

  • Social Service Worker Faculty Award

    Presented to the best all round graduate of the Social Service Worker Program.

 

  • Social Service Worker Faculty Award

    Presented to the best all round first year student of the Social Service Worker Program.

 

  • Colleen Thode Memorial Award

    Presented in memory of Colleen Thode to the graduating student who has brought passion, conviction and leadership while managing many other challenges and commitments outside the classroom.

 

  • Educational Assistant Program Award

    Presented to the outstanding graduate in the Educational Assistant Program who demonstrated a compassionate and professional approach in field placement.

 

  • Educational Assistant Program Award

    Presented for outstanding academic achievement to a first year student in the Educational Assistant Program.

 

  • The JJJAM Award

    Presented to a graduating student who over the past two years has demonstrated personal growth, compassion and the essential qualities of a professional Educational Assistant.

 

  • Association for Early Childhood Educators, Ontario Award

    Presented to the first year all round student of the Early Childhood Education Program.

 

  • Early Childhood Education Faculty Award

    Presented to the outstanding graduate of the Early Childhood Education Program.

 

  • Early Childhood Education Faculty Award

    Presented to the first year outstanding student in the Early Childhood Education Program.

    Presented to a second year student of the Early Childhood Education Program who has demonstrated commitment and motivation as exemplified by academic performance and service to the community through field work.

 

  • St. Barnabas Nursery School Award

    Presented to the outstanding graduate in the Early Childhood Education Program who demonstrated a compassionate and professional approach in field placement, combined with a solid academic achievement.

 

  • Strath-MacLean Child Care Centre Award

    Presented to a mature Early Childhood Education student who balances school and home and performs academics and field placements to a high level of excellence.

 

  • Janet Castle Memorial Award

    Presented to an Early Childhood Education graduating student with strong academic achievement, portraying advocacy and community involvement.

 

  • Lippincott Williams and Wilkins Book Award

    Presented to a graduate of the Massage Therapy Program with outstanding academic achievement.

 

  • Massage Therapy Program Faculty Award

    Presented to a graduate of the Massage Therapy Program with outstanding academic achievement.
