Academic and Community Awards

 

Applied Computing and Engineering Sciences

The following academic and community awards for full-time students recognize achievement. Recipients are selected for these Centre for Applied Computing & Engineering Sciences awards -- students do not apply for these prizes.

 

  • Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS) Award - Kawartha Chapter

    Presented to a graduate of the Computer Programmer Analyst Program demonstrating outstanding systems analysis and design skills.

 

  • Carole and George Fletcher Foundation Award

    Presented to any full-time student in the final year of a post-secondary education program recognized by OACETT and leading to a technician or a technologist diploma in physical disciplines - including engineering, based on academic excellence.

 

  • Centre for Applied Computing and Engineering Sciences Academic Award

    Presented to a graduate of the Centre for Applied Computing and Engineering Sciences for academic achievement and significant contribution to the College community.

 

  • Engineering Science Analysis Award

    Presented to a full-time student, currently in the Engineering Science Analysis Programs, demonstrating self-initiative and dedication to their studies while maintaining excellent academic performance in the science and technology curriculum.

 

  • GE Canada Award - Automation Technician/Technology

    Presented to an outstanding graduate of the Automation Technician/Technology Program.

 

  • GE Canada Award - Computer Programmer Analyst

    Presented to an outstanding graduate of the Computer Programmer Analyst Program.

 

  • National Conference of Standards Laboratories (NCSL) Award - Engineering Analysis

    Presented to a student who has demonstrated academic excellence in the Engineering Analysis course.

 

  • National Conference of Standards Laboratories (NCSL) Award - Measurement Science

    Presented to a student who has demonstrated academic excellence in the Measurement Science course.

 

  • National Conference of Standards Laboratories (NCSL) Award - Applied Project Team

    Presented to a team displaying exemplary performance in a metrology-related project during the Applied Projects sixth semester.

 

  • Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) Award

    Presented to a student who has completed the first semester of an engineering science program in the Centre for Applied Computing and Engineering Sciences, who has demonstrated commitment and motivation as exemplified by academic excellence and collegiality.

 

  • Ontario Power Generation Award

    Presented to a student of an employment equity target group who has completed one year, and is currently in the second-year of the Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Technician or Technology Program. Someone who has strong oral and written communication skills, has demonstrated leadership skills, is of good academic standing, involved in extra-curricular activities and is legally eligible to work in Canada upon graduation.

 

  • Pepsi QTG Canada Award

    Presented to the top graduate of the Electro Mechanical - Robotics Program.

 

  • Professional Leadership Award

    Presented to a student enrolled full-time in the Centre for Applied Computing and Engineering Sciences, who has shown leadership in promoting professionalism and maintained good academic standing for two semesters.

 

  • Siemens Milltronics Limited Award - Automation Technician

    Presented to the top graduate of the Automation Technician Program.

 

  • Siemens Milltronics Limited Award - Automation Technology

    Presented to the top graduate of the Automation Technology Program.
